“After doing some research into it, I’m convinced Kate could have avoided more than half the hate towards her if she had just worked or volunteered some during or after university.” - Submitted by Anonymous

I would say 3/4 at least

to be fair she did volunteer and work, although not much I’d say. I still think there will be hate for her even if she did establish a career before marriage, as its usually da case with most famous ladies…..but most prob less hate against her if she had a consistent career.

What volunteering was that?If Kate had shown she would work pre marriage then people would have more faith in her post marriage. I think people were hoping she would prove she could/would work post marriage. What I am saying is, Kate started from a place of suspicion over her work ethic when she married, as she barely had when a commoner. She had something to prove also we kept hearing she would work once married. She is now married and she is still not really working. If she had worked pre marriage she would have a lot of more good will, faith in her ability as a royal and would not be starting on back footing

I’ve read forums stretching back to the early 2000s and Kate got hate the second she appeared by William’s side, simply because she was his girlfriend and the fangirls on the internet weren’t. The following are all genuine quotes from forum users before Kate graduated university.
"We all pray that he does NOT end up with Kate."
(Hearing Kate’s going to Balmoral) “DIE KATE DIE DIE DIE”
"Yep I must admit, I’m so jealous and I HATE this girl."
(when shown pic of Kate’s ancestor): “Are there any pics of this lady when she’s old? Then we may be able to peer into the future and see what Kate will look like….and then we could rip her apart for her future looks as well.”
(Talking about her future career): “Maybe she could work on a cruise liner and it might sink and then she’ll be shipwrecked and we’ll never hear from her again.”
So much of the hate started before Kate even left university.
As for volunteering. She co-founded the Lumsden ladies which is a fundraising group at St Andrews; she was part of the group who organised a roller disco for the Henry Van Straubenzee Fund; she curated an exhibition which raised funds for Unicef; she was responsible for Party Piece’s links with Starlight as confirmed by named sources which included organising parties, providing free party bags and attending many meetings to discuss projects; and she supposedly made secret visits to Naomi House hospice before marriage although this is unconfirmed. That’s far more charity work than the average person in the UK does!

This is one of the ways in which Scottish politics is different from Westminster politics. Both the Scottish Labour Party and the Scottish Conservative parties are run by women.  The Scottish Nation Party is highly likely to elect Nicola Sturgeon is party leader very shortly.

That will be all 3 main parties in Scotland with female leaders.

You also have the Scottish Green party which is co-convened by a woman and an openly bisexual man.

Another reason to be proud of our little country.  See it doesn’t need to be an all boys club.

A wee note: The Scottish National Party is not the Scottish equivalent of the British National Party.  The SNP referendum campaign was run on the premise of Scotland being strongly supportive to immigration and that everyone living in the country deserved a say and a vote regardless of nationality.

If Sturgeon becomes leader of the SNP then I’m disowning Scotland. She’s completely clueless, spineless and has spent the past few years being Salmond’s lap dog. I don’t like Salmond after he forced people I know from their homes so that Donald Trump could built a pointless golf course, but at least he was a leader. Sturgeon’s not.

Ok seriously, Malta is so gorgeous. I want to visit now so in that respect this tour has been a massive success in my eyes.

Gad and Raphaël in Los Angeles

I’m sorry to George and Estelle and all the babies I’ve pledged allegiance to over the years but Raphael is beautifulHe’s not cute or adorable; he’s beautiful. If only we could bottle Grace Kelly’s genes…

hetaliagirl96 said: It feels like hell on earth in Glasgow right now. People have been stabbed, glassed with bottles, people have apparently died, been beaten to the ground, there's fire everywhere, the place looks like a warzone. The flag has been burned. Racism has been thrown at us and every other insult (all of the young girl voters are being called 'Scottish cunts'). It feels unreal. And it's started up again this morning, it could go on for days.

What’s happening makes me sick but the lack of mainstream reporting means people on social media are completely unaware of the facts. No one has been stabbed and no one has died, for a start.

Also the police got the matter under control in a matter of hours. They are used to sectarian violence in Glasgow and they have said that this conflict was barely anything compared to what they’re used to.

Crown Princess Victoria’s royal tours → England, 2009

Victoria visited London twice in 2009. Her first visit was a short stopover for an event celebrating Swedish style, but her second featured several high profile engagements. She visited the capital primarily to celebrate Sweden taking over the presidency of the European Union. While in the British capital, the future Queen also attended an environmental seminar entitled “A New Green World” and an exhibit honouring iconic Swedish director Ingmar Bergman.

That is none of my business

OH MY GOD WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK

Anon you need fucking psychiatric help jesus christ

You just suggested that someone poison Catherine and her baby and put a smiley face after it. How incredibly sick and twisted and disgusting can you fucking be?

WHAT THE FUCK!! this is so disgusting… wowwww

Rolls eyes at that even worse and dumb ass answer. “That’s none of my business”.

Quite. Mod on there should have just deleted that post when it appeared. There was no need to publish that. ‘None of my business’ isn’t exactly taking a stand against such an utterly vile and unnecessary post.

Oh I’m sure they will come back claiming not to have known what cyanide is. : /

Well the mod who posted that anon on there has now apologised….If that apology is genuinely meant, then people should accept it.

Royal watcher is a really balanced, fair blog so I have no doubt it was a misunderstanding :)
