Don’t care what her detractors say… Kate is being trusted and thought of highly to attend on this solo tour, only 3 years after becoming a royal. That’s HUGE!

Even the Duchess of Cornwall did not go on a solo tour until last year, when she went to Paris for like a day and a half.

Very happy to see Kate hitting another royal milestone!

I think this will be a huge test for Kate in terms of public opinion. This isn’t a fluffy tour. She is representing the queen at a high profile, serious event where she’ll meet diplomats and politicians. If she pulls this off it could be a huge boost for her as a royal and as a person.

Dutch Royal Family Alphabet
A for Abdication

You can see in the third row down how hard it was for Beatrix to abdicate. I think abdicating is sometimes the strongest thing a monarch can do because they voluntarily give up their birth right to protect the institution of royalty. It’s quite selfless in a lot of cases.

Anonymous said: Actually you are the only one bringing Kate and William into this. Wonder why? Maybe that's the problem. Also, many blogs focus mainly on the British Royals and hardly blog about other Royal Families, so why should they start now?

Chill out anon. I don’t think you understood what I was trying to say. I also think I made it sound like I was comparing the two situations when I wasn’t. Clearly it’s a miscommunication so let’s leave it at that.

And the blogs I’m talking about are not just BRF blogs by the way.

Anonymous said: What scar are you talking about when you mentioned it on that Kate photo

It’s a little scar on the side of her head. It’s hard to see it but a lot of us have had discussions about it repeatedly over the years so I’m kind of tuned in to it now!! Basically Kate appeared at an event in November 2011 where you could see a mark on the side of her head. The palace said it was from a childhood operation. You can read about that here

A lot of people in the fandom were saying that they thought it was an extension because they’d never seen it before. The harsher critics have suggested that Kate didn’t want people to know she wears extensions so she got the palace to lie for her.

That photograph shows the scar just under her hair, in the same place it’s in now. It was taken in Nov 2009, before the engagement. So it suggests that perhaps it is a genuine scar.

In other words, the royal fandom argue over the most ridiculous things. Thanks for the question :)

Royal fandom announcement: I found a picture showing Kate’s scar which was taken in November 2009. I wonder what this does for the scar vs extension debate.

little things that help ease symptoms of depression:

  • turn the lights on and open a window
  • eat something healthy and drink ice cold water
  • find a comforting album to listen to whenever things get bad
  • take a long, relaxing bath
  • do yourself up in full make up and hair
  • be around people, even if you don’t think it will help
  • watch something funny on netflix
  • wear your favorite/most comfortable outfit
  • immerse yourself in a hobby like drawing
  • lose yourself in a really good book or movie

I like these. Normally it’s things like “go for a walk.” That is a good way to make yourself feel better but during my worst times I felt physically sick at the thought of getting out of bed. I couldn’t go for a walk. But I could have watched something funny on netflix or opened the window.

Mary and Marie look amazing!

Mary and Marie have the potential to be the female royal power couple. I want them to go to events together followed by a topless man playing Beyonce on a boom box.
